Suppression of physiologic myocardial sequestration of glucose, and hence the 2-deoxy-18 fluorodeoxy-glucose (FDG) is of critical importance to effectively evaluate intrinsic cardiac pathology and better delineate extra-cardiac FDG activity on Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging. |
