Abstract
|
| |
We are in the midst of a strong revival of interest in the Subnational units (Autonomous Communities) within the Autonomous Spanish State. Recent reforms of the Statute of Autonomy by certain autonom ous regions have revealed new mechanisms and new ways of interaction and communication between policy-statut ory subnational units-within the scope of the reforms of the Statute of Autonomy. |

Abstract
|
| |
The catastrophic nuclear incident in Fukushima in March 2011 has shocked Europe. Its impact was particularly strong in Germany with its decade-old anti-nuclear movements. Po litical and technological re-orientations were initiated in that country without considering at any depth the potential of European law and politics to control or obstruct such moves. |

Abstract
|
| |
Scholarly research reveals strong correlations between the functions
of East European migrants in the UK labor market, recruitment and employment of
labor migrants, the social role of migrants, the potential human capital of immi-
grants, and the emergence of a new European migration system. The mainstay of the
paper is formed by an analysis of the role and impact of contemporary immigration,
the relationships between immigration and labor-market change, the role of free
movement and migration in regional integration processes, the new networks of
international migration, and the twin processes of global economic restructuring and
increased migration. |

Abstract
|
| |
Considerable research attention has focused on the culture of the folk,
the liveliness of folklore in everyday life, the nature of the folklore text, and the
distinction between folklore and popular culture. I seek to contribute to a wider
understanding of contextual and cultural influences on the value of folklore as an
aspect of cultural and national identity, the structure of oral narratives like folktales,
the nature of folklore in society, the notion of folklore as a process, and the scope of
folklore. |

The paper generates insights about Godards fascination with the interactivity between
individual and environment, cinema as a largely psychological phenomenon, and
Godards relationship with filmmaking originality. |

Abstract

Our paper contributes to the literature by providing evidence on the
influence of the Christian and humanist traditions in Europe, the recognition of
religious perspectives within EU law, the historical and cultural role of religions in
Europe, the participation of religious bodies in European public life, and religious
influence over EU law. The paper generates insights about Europes growing reli-
gious diversity, the monopolistic character of European churches, the gradation of
religious decline across Europe, the decline of Christian practice, and the weakness
of European Christianity. |

Abstract
|
| |
This paper attempts to analyze geopolitical codes using qualitative
content analysis. Analyzing such codes helps to reveal the political elites geo-
political assumptions, which form a states foreign policy. This paper explains how
the relationship between events and geopolitical codes could be interpreted by using
qualitative content analysis method. It shows that this technique is researcher centric
and how effective it is depends on the ability and skill of the researcher. A qual-
itative content analysis is also important because, for analyzing geopolitical codes,
the researcher needs to analyze and interpret presidential speeches and governmental
documents as critical data... |

Abstract
|
| |
Following the famous saying allegedly spelled by Kissinger: "Europe?
Give me a name and a phone number!" (when - back in early 1970s - urged by
President Nixon to inform Europeans on the particular US policy action), the author
is trying to examine how close is Asia to have its own telephone number. By
contrasting and comparing genesis of multilateral security structures in Europe with
those currently existing in Asia, and by listing some of the most pressing security
challenges in Asia, this article offers several policy incentives why the largest worlds
continent must consider creation of the comprehensive pan-Asian institution... |

Abstract
|
| |
State-level revenue forecasts tend to be based not only on financial
conditions, but also on political considerations. The relationship between these two
factors can be uncovered when analyzing budget forecast errors. Typically, revenue
forecast errors are assumed to follow a normal distribution; however, this research
finds that political factors skew the distribution of errors. The further into the future
the forecast is made, the more biased the budget becomes. This research tests the
impact of political factors on long-range, state-level revenue budget forecasts... |

Abstract
|
| |
Debate about the nature of security has flourished in many parts of the
world since before the end of the Cold War. Throughout that time, Europe has proved
to be a major focus for research in what has been termed non-traditional - in some
ways, non-American - security studies. Ours is not an argument about ownership: one
can find non-traditional security studies globally, yet there has been a consistency to
the development of non-traditional theorizing in Europe, often facilitated by research
grants from bodies such as the European Union... |
